From the bustling streets of Marrakech to the timeless elegance of Paris, the idea for this business took shape offering the art of elegance and beauty of careful craftsmanship.
Louie Bloom is not just another handbag brand; it’s a labour of love that harmoniously blends elegance with everyday practicality.
Born from the vision of founder and creative director Lisa Danielle Green, an established social media personality based in Byron Bay, the business made its debut in early 2023. A traveller who can often be found in far-flung corners of the world, Lisa has a keen eye for style and has always sought out accessories to elevate her look.
In her quest for the perfect accessory that combined classic sophistication with functionality and quality, Lisa embarked on a journey spanning continents and cultures, ultimately resulting in the creation of Louie Bloom.
In 2018, during her travels to Morocco, Lisa designed her very first basket bag.
“The years passed, my daughter Gigi was born and the ideas for a brand lingered,” says Lisa.
“Last year, we lived in Paris, a city that seamlessly strikes the balance between honouring the past while standing at the forefront of contemporary fashion; It was the final inspiration I needed to bring Louie Bloom to life.”
In a poetic moment, the debut collection, featuring six timeless designs, was crafted in Morocco, where Lisa’s design journey had begun years earlier.
“The design philosophy is about quality, timeless elevation and thinking of styles that transcend trends and sit perfectly with a capsule wardrobe, even if there is a statement of colour or two in there,” says Lisa.
Hand woven straw intertwines with deliberate design choices in colour, shape and size, all meticulously curated for perfection.
Similar to Lisa’s personal style, where classic meets playful, Louie Bloom’s range offers unique, structured shapes that make them a fashion statement.
“Our basket bags are a chic take on the classic Moroccan basket style that I have collected over the years,” she says.
As Lisa has spent years collecting base bags and handbags, her collection meant she knew exactly what form her own brand would take, be it strap details, basket size, colour or structure.
“It was all floating in my head, ready to be put down onto paper and when I met our manufacturing partner, the design process flowed effortlessly, forming our debut collection,” Lisa says.
The first non-negotiable design feature of Louie Bloom is strength.
“Practicality is important to our design ethos,” Lisa says.
